Talamone is a fraction of the municipality of Orbetello in the province of Grosseto.
The town of Talamone stands on a rocky promontory, which is located on the southern border of the Maremma Natural Park, in a dominant position on the entire stretch of coast that goes from Talamone to Monte Argentario, the so-called Gulf of Talamone. The surrounding area is characterized by the presence of the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub and by long sandy beaches, lined with pine forests.
Talamone is about 25 km from Grosseto and just over 20 km from the municipal capital.
